A week after Kyle's surgery he got a nice blue cast. He still had the pins, but a cast is much better then just a wrap and sling. Two weeks later (just hours before he got on a plane to Orlando) the pins came out and a new bright yellow cast went on. Two days after returning from Orlando he got another new cast. This time lime green and it is a nice fore arm cast so he has some more movement. I think Kyle is ready to have the whole thing done with, but I must admit he had a pretty adventurous summer despite his limitations. School starts Monday and then the last cast comes off and he gets to just wear a brace. Yeah! Let's hope this is our last time with any broken bones- a mom can dream right?.
