Carter got a pair of scissors, a ream of paper, his own roll of tape and several crayons, pencils, etc. for Christmas. He now spends a lot of time working on his projects.
Some of his projects are a bit, well, unusual. I guess you would call them 3D paper creations. For example, the second day with his new paper/scissors/tape, he came walking (well shuffling) in with paper around each foot. "Look, I made shoes!" He declared proudly. While we praised him for his ingenuity, and with the current economy, considered the possibilities momentarily, the shoes had a few design issues. However, we had to admit it was cute and clever. They even had paper straps going over the top of his foot. What we didn't expect was, later that day as we were going out, that he would want to wear his new "shoes". It nearly broke his heart when he was told that they probably wouldn't work in the outside and he had to leave them home.
He has also made a few 'books' and many pictures. He has made a purse for April. He made bones for his stuffed dogs. He has made clothes for his dogs and paper bowls for them to eat out of and paper beds for them to sleep in complete with paper blankets and pillows.
Below is a video of him explaining this 'bag' that he made for one of his dogs. It is like a backpack with only one strap.

"...and it kind of looks like a cup." What a smart little boy. I thought you were going to post about Carter taking the scissors and cutting someones hair, or something tramatic!
