Merry Christmas - 2008 (by Tye)

Here are some highlights from our Christmas Holidays. We hope you had a great Christmas.
First, we had our traditional reenactment of the Christmas story. Here are Mary and Joseph (Emily and Carter) approaching Bethlehem looking for an Inn.
Here is the inn keeper (Allison). She assured us that the innkeeper would be in his bed clothes.

Unfortunately, we don't have any good pictures of Kyle (as lead shepherd), or April (as Angel).
We do have this never-before-seen, behind the scenes look at Joseph snacking on M&M's. This is what saved the day, as he was about to abandon his costume until the snacks showed up.
Allison got a pair of roller blades for Christmas. The next day (after the rain dried up) she went out to show Emily how it is done. You will note that Emily takes notes from her sister and goes through the grass instead.

Carter really enjoyed this Christmas. Now that he is four years old, he understands better and is a little more excited. He wanted to stop and play with every present he opened before moving on. Here is a picture of him with his new coloring book from his Aunt Sarah. This is very early on Christmas morning and he is setting up to color for a while (much to the other kids frustration who just want to keep opening).

And Carter in his new "Superman" Robe which he has been wearing to bed most nights.

And lastly, and barely related, we would like to give a special thanks to those special souls who have the patience and love to teach the younger kids how to play an instrument. While the best of the videos are too large to post, here is a quick clip of what we think is a rendition of "Mary had a little lamb" from Allison's school band at their winter concert. Allison is playing the clarinet, but you can't see her in here. If you listen closely, she is the one hitting all the right notes:
