What IS that noise? (by Tye)

We were sitting downstairs last night with the TV going and the computer on when we started hearing a weird noise. "Is that something outside? Is it our air conditioner breaking down, or does our neighbor have a car problem?" (and yes, our A/C still gets some use this time of year) After the noise didn't stop, we finally got up to go investigate. Walking by the stairs on our way to look outside, we realized it was coming from upstairs. More specifically, it was coming from the boys' room. I don't know if the video does justice to the volume of the noise, but it will at least clue you in to the source. All we have to say, is that this boy is a direct decendent of his grandfather.

More singing of 'Ode to My Grandpa':

And here I am sneaking up on what I was afraid might be 'Darth Vader' on a different night:

As a general rule, if the kids wake up scared or lonely or whatever at night our rule is that they are allowed to come in our room as long as they don't wake us up. We will frequently find more than one child on our floor in the morning. Lately, Carter has been taking advantage of that almost every night. The problem is that this snoring thing has also become a nightly occurance. Really, he's not even 4 yet and he snores like an old man (no offense to previously-mentioned Grandpa intended). Hopefully this is just a phase he will outgrow. If not, Kyle may ask for a new roommate and we'll just have to hope he ends up marrying a heavy sleeper.
